Event review - Grand Prix De France 2024

Bonjour Le Mans! Is this the most laid-back MotoGP in Europe? We love it here!

With a tram that takes you directly from our central Le Mans hotel to the circuit, and surrounded by great beers and restaurants (if you can drag yourself from the brilliant hotel bar & restaurant!) this is one of our favourite events in Europe!

Wednesday we managed to get a short break to the incredible medieval heart of Le Mans. This is a must-visit for anyone coming to the French GP - come a day early or stay an extra day to visit the cathedral and the rest.

Thursday we had our traditional welcome drink. Since we were sharing the hotel with the MLav racing team, their riders as well as several Red Bull rookies were about so we got a chance to say hi!

Friday was a brilliant day at the circuit. Some of our team guests visited the service road and garages. Gresini guests got a visit to Alpine Stars & Michelin

Friday evening we had our delicious French opening dinner. We are joined by 3 Red Bull Rookies: Carter Thompson (AUS), Kristian Daniel (USA) and Milan Pawelec (POL); as well as journalists Manuel Pecino and Simon Patterson Several of us end up in a local pub watching locals get hit on a WW2 helmet while taking shots. Welcome to France!

Saturday we visited the Rookies paddock, and also the super interesting eBike paddock. After a spectacular Sprint race people simply take to the tram and go back to the hotel. Some team guests stayed for dinner with the team and a special meet up with our favourite journalist Manuel Pecino.

Finally race day Sunday dawned perfect weather -- very unusual for Le Mans to have three brilliant days in a row! Martin took the honours but we were delighted that our man Marc Marquez took 2nd and Pecco rounded out the podium. Can Marc catch up to these two?

Sunday evening a number of us head to a local restaurant we know, among other things excelling in their steak! A perfect end to a weekend in la France!
