Event review - Gran Premio di San Marino 2024

Misano once again is our top European round of the year!

From its perfect location on the Adriatic coast, a super popular, family-oriented Italian holiday destination, with the track just 15 minutes away, this is a venue that has something for everyone!

We make a long weekend out of it, encouraging guests to arrive early to enjoy a taste of the "Italian Riviera". Thursday we had what is always one of out top "happy hours" of the year in our 4* hotel - mountains of Italian antipasti, beer & wine.

Perfect weather - read hot! - all weekend was the perfect setting for exciting action. At the track our Gresini guests had access to a pool bar all weekend - keeping people cool and well watered!

This was the last weekend in the season for the Red Bull Rookies, and we made a point of featuring them as much as we could. Our two sponsored riders Kristian Daniel from the USA and Carter Thompson from Australia. We also invited English rider Evan Belford to join us.

Friday evening we had our opening dinner at the superb trackside restaurant Santa Monica. We were joined by the three rookies, and compere Simon Patterson. Brilliant starters and drink on the poolside terrace was followed by a yummy dinner and lots of grilling of the kids!

Saturday many of our team guests joined us for a fascinating talk by veteran journalist Manuel Pecino then dinner with our respective teams. A great night to be in the circuit, seeing many riders and others!

Superb racing on Sunday saw another sensational victory by Francesco Bagnaia, and a podium by our team's rider Marc Marquez! We also saw the last Rookies race of the year with our boys putting in very respectable results. We are supporting them both in 2025 -- looking for podiums!

Sunday night we had one of our favourite meals of the year -- at a Riccione Florentine-style steak house. Awesome food, wine and beer, and we were joined by Evan and Carter as well as Simon Patterson

The action in Misano does not end on Sunday tho! We took a group up to the Ducati factory for a private tour. A visit to the amazing museum; lunch at an American style diner and then a late afternoon visit to Tavullia made a perfect day out!

We get to go to Misano twice in the year - join us for either the Superbike or the MotoGP next year!
